# About TechBlackboard

> We are a technology group that builds its own products, advises organisations on technology decisions, and runs applied research in real environments. Those three activities are deliberately connected: the consulting keeps the products honest about what organisations can absorb, and the Labs work keeps the advice honest about what actually survives outside a demo.

Technology changes quickly. Real-world problems usually do not.

TechBlackboard exists to bridge the gap between new technology and the realities of organisations, people and physical environments.

## How we work

Six positions we hold consistently, including when they cost us work.

1. **Context before technology.** A solution that ignores how an organisation actually works is a proposal, not a system.
2. **Appropriate over excessive.** Capability you cannot maintain is a liability, not an asset.
3. **Build before buzz.** We ship our own products and run our own hardware. Our opinions come with scars.
4. **Evidence before assumptions.** Measure first. Most performance and process problems are not where people expect.
5. **Systems should work in the real world.** Intermittent networks, limited power, users in a hurry. Design for the bad day.
6. **Technology should create capability, not dependency.** A good engagement ends with your team more able to operate without us.

## The group

### Products

The software and hardware we build, run and are accountable for.

### Consulting

Appropriate Technology Consulting — architecture, selection and delivery advice.

### Labs

TechBlackboard Labs — applied research and real-world technology experiments.

### Media

Agritech Life — knowledge and field storytelling at the intersection of agriculture and technology.

## Leadership

### Narapat Patcharapornpun — Founder / Technology Architect

More than two decades of experience across enterprise applications, solution architecture, workflow automation and digital transformation — spanning enterprise platforms, sustainability technology, AI, data systems and applied field technology.

That experience includes Salesforce, SharePoint, K2, Excel/VBA-based operational systems, enterprise architecture and emerging technologies — with a consistent bias towards choosing technology for its context rather than its novelty.
